The problem — E-commerce merchants need branded native iOS & Android apps for their Shopify stores — without building and maintaining a mobile app from scratch.

Enabled merchants to ship branded apps to the App Store & Play Store. Improved engagement and conversion through push and campaign tracking.

My responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining the React Native app that powers native storefronts for Shopify merchants.
  • Integrated Shopify Storefront and commerce APIs for products, cart, and checkout.
  • Implemented GA4 analytics with custom UTM attribution and marketing campaign tracking.
  • Worked with the AppBuild CLI to automate app generation and builds for clients.

Technical decisions

  • Used the Shopify Storefront API for a fast, native browsing and checkout experience.
  • Automated multi-client builds with the AppBuild CLI to ship white-label apps at scale.

Security

  • Secure handling of merchant API keys and customer session tokens.
  • Validated checkout and payment flows against the Shopify commerce APIs.
